Patient Safety Indicator Reporting

The Ontario government requires full public reporting on eight patient safety indicators as part of a plan to create transparency in Ontario’s hospitals. Four of the eight safety indicators apply to Homewood Health Centre, including reporting on hospital acquired Clostridium Difficile Associated Disease (CDAD), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE) infection rates, and Hand Hygiene compliance among health care workers. Homewood Health Centre takes your care and your safety seriously. Tracking our rates allows us to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of infection at our hospital. Additional information on each indicator is available in the links below. If you have questions about the information posted or about our Infection Prevention and Control program, please call 1-866-839-2594.
