Health care professionals have uniquely challenging jobs. Their responsibilities can expose them to a range of traumatic situations, stressors and other experiences that can result in mental health issues and substance misuse or dependence. In addition, the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health care sector and on health care professionals have led to burnout, depression, anxiety, trauma and moral injury.
The evidence-based treatment programs at the Homewood Health Centre are designed to recognize these unique challenges and provide treatment to support sustained recovery. We work closely with leading clinicians and researchers in rapidly translating research into innovative programming including funding pioneering research on the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of health care professionals.
The Homewood Health Centre has a long history of providing specialized treatment to health care professionals including physicians, nurses and other professionals. We understand the high-stress environments in which these professionals work and have treatment programming that recognizes their unique experiences and needs.
Designed specifically for health care professionals, this stream is focused on restoring functional abilities and not just reducing symptoms. This stream is available in conjunction with other treatment programs at Homewood Health Centre such as the Addiction Medicine Program the Integrated Mood, Anxiety and Addictions Concurrent Program and more.
Designed specifically for health care workers experiencing challenges related to substance use and concurrent issues relating to mood and or anxiety.

Dedicated to adults who are struggling with the symptoms of trauma(s), occupational injury, or with co-occurring trauma and addiction.
