The program is designed using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, for those who require an adapted, modified program, delivered at a slower pace over twelve weeks.
We know that having a mood and/or anxiety disorder can be all-encompassing and can often be further compounded by other issues including unhealthy substance use. The connections between mental health and substance use can be complex, and both issues deserve and require evidence-based therapies to support recovery and wellness.
The nine-week Integrated Mood, Anxiety and Addictions Concurrent program, offers comprehensive medical and clinical care for adults 18+ years of age who are experiencing mood and/or anxiety disorders with or without problematic substance use (alcohol, drugs, prescription medications, including opioids).
At Homewood Health Centre, our team has deep expertise in treating mood and anxiety conditions and also specializes in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges so you can get back to school, work, and life.
Homewood has extensive experience in treating complex and co-occurring disorders. Often, individuals may suffer from multiple conditions, which can complicate recovery if not identified and addressed. Our clinical approach is designed to help build an understanding of how different issues may affect the individual and employ evidence-based treatment that provides the foundation, knowledge and tools necessary to address these conditions and help build the skills required to sustain long-term recovery.
At Homewood Health we recognize that family and/or friends are an important part of a patient’s social support system, and family/friend involvement is determined based on the patient’s individual needs.
If you feel that someone’s mental health issue or substance use is impacting their ability to function well, there are ways to initiate the conversation and show that you care.
